Welcome to San Francisco!
We’re so excited to celebrate with you in the City by the Bay. Below are a few travel tips and local highlights to help you make the most of your trip.
Getting Here
By Air: The closest airport is San Francisco International (SFO), about 25 minutes from downtown. Oakland International (OAK) and San Jose (SJC) are also nearby options, typically offering competitive fares.
Transportation:
Rideshare & Taxis: Uber and Lyft are readily available at all airports.
BART: The Bay Area Rapid Transit connects SFO and OAK directly to downtown San Francisco.
Parking: Parking in the city is limited. We recommend using rideshare or public transit once you’re here.
What to Pack
Layers are essential. Even in summer, mornings and evenings can be chilly while afternoons are sunny and warm.
Bring a light jacket or sweater, comfortable walking shoes (the hills are no joke!), and something dressy for wedding events.
If you’re planning sightseeing near the water, add a scarf or windbreaker — the bay breeze can be brisk.
Expect mild temperatures year-round.
Average highs: 65–70°F
Average lows: 55°F
